This is normal good practice and something I failed to follow. In reality I share some of the blame for failing to completely remove the anti-virus before upgrading. It was this corruption that caused me problems not the disabling of Kaspersky. As a result, Kaspersky were not given the opportunity to obtain the feedback that the Windows 10 upgrade processĬorrupted the key-file. While what you say is true, Microsoft failed to give the community the final release mechanism for testing, before it went out onto the world.
